Medal haul for North Okanagan seniors

North Okanagan athletes harvested a myriad of medals from the 55+ BC Games.

The annual event was held in Kamloops Sept. 8 to 12.

“As another year’s edition of the 55+ BC Games comes to a close, we’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came, participated, attended the week’s special events, and made the Games a truly remarkable experience,” said the host committee in an online post at the Games’ conclusion.

More than 1,000 volunteers helped with 24 different sports and games.

The North Okanagan sent a contingent of nearly 200 athletes to Kamloops.
