Former Knight Cotter continued his hot early start, scoring his fourth goal in four games, tipping in a nice feed from Filip Hronek on the power play at 18:52.

Shots on goal after 20 minutes favoured Vegas, 9-6.

Vegas began to take charge in the second period, with Marner pulled the Knights even at 9:01, outwaiting Lankinen and depositing his first of the year into an empty net.

Olofsson gave the visitors their first lead of the night on the power play at 14:30, converting a slick touch pass from Mark Stone for his second goal of the young season.

Vancouver drew even at 2-2 at 17:54, when Lekkerimaki broke free down the right wing and fired a quick shot that fooled Hill. Lekkerimaki now has two goals on he year.

Vegas regained their advantage just 34 seconds later, when Gatcomb finished off some solid board work from Braeden Bowman and Nic Dowd with his first goal of the campaign.

The Golden Knights held a 26-11 shots margin after two periods.

In the third, the Canucks pulled Lankinen in favour of an extra attacker with more than two minutes to play. They created some sustained pressure, with the best chance being from Brock Boeser, who fired the puck just over the net from in front of Hill. The Knights were able to run out the clock and secure the win.
