Cops for Kids rides through Creston

Cops for Kids rolled through Creston on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, on their annual ride, raising funds for kids who have suffered a medical, physical or traumatic crisis.
The group arrived in Creston having ridden over the Kootenay Pass in cool five degree temperatures. The Cops for Kids ride included two local officers, Conservation Officer Mikaela Rhees and RCMP Cst. Robyn Diddams.
The ride was especially personal for Cst. Diddams as his young son has received support for medical needs from this group.
The local charity, Badges for Bright Futures, raised $22,500 for Cops for Kids.
While Cops for Kids has many events throughout the year, the ten-day ride through B.C.’s Southern Interior is their signature fundraising event.
