Red Deer builder honoured with BILD Alberta award

Sorento Custom Homes of Red Deer was rewarded with the Small Volume Builder Pinnacle Award from BILD Alberta for excellence in home construction on Saturday.
The Building Industry and Land Development Association Alberta (BILD Alberta) announced the winners of the 2026 BILD Alberta Awards, presented by Travelers Canada, at the BILDing Forward Together Conference at the Jasper Park Lodge on Sept. 12.
“These awards help Albertans see what excellence in our industry looks like,” said Scott Fash, CEO of BILD Alberta, in a statement.
“This year’s winners are pushing boundaries and solving real challenges. Their creativity and commitment are not only raising the bar for our industry, but they are also helping shape stronger communities for Albertans.”
A panel of industry judges carefully evaluated entries in 40 categories, ranging from starter homes to multi-family units, home renovations, energy-efficient homes and community design.
Award entries were up 20 per cent over last year, and each entry was assessed on its design, execution and response to a specific challenge or opportunity.
Pinnacle Awards are BILD Alberta’s highest honour, recognizing builders, professional renovators and land developers that demonstrate excellence and leadership across every aspect of their organizations. Finalists are determined based on their community service, association involvement, safety leadership and more.

• Renovator — Ultimate Renovations (Calgary)
• Developer — Brookfield Residential (Alberta)
