Guilty plea in Keremeos robbery, assaults

A Keremeos man returned to court to plead guilty again to various offences after the court struck off his original pleas in August.
Adam Drake Krushelnicki, born in 1986, appeared remotely via video in Penticton Provincial Court on Sept. 21. He had previously appeared in court on Aug. 24.
He was charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of robbery, both related to an incident in Keremeos on Oct. 16, 2025, and one count of failing to appear while on a release order in December 2025.
He was separately charged with a breach of a release order by failing to comply with a curfew, and an assault in Penticton allegedly on May 3, 2026.
Little was shared other than the victim’s name in the second assault.
Krushelnicki entered guilty pleas to all of the charges on Sept. 21, after originally only pleading guilty to robbery during his Aug. 24 appearance.
This time, there was no confusion over the details, and after confirming that Krushelnicki agreed with the Crown’s statement of facts, the pleas were entered officially onto the record.
The Crown’s statement of facts on the Oct. 16 incident was that police were called by one of Krushelnicki’s neighbours after concerns he had assaulted his mother outside a residence on Sparks Drive, before getting into her car and fleeing the scene.
His mother supposedly came that day to take Krushelnicki to make a court appearance, and the neighbour had reportedly seen Krushelnicki pull her out of the car before attacking her.
As a result of the attack, Krushelnicki’s mother suffered a significant head injury, causing her to lose consciousness. She remained bleeding and confused after returning to consciousness.
Krushelnicki, who did not have a driver’s licence at the time, was found later that day after crashing the vehicle on Highway 3A.
With the pleas entered into the record, a pre-sentence report as well as a psychological report were ordered to be prepared ahead of sentencing.
The reports are expected to be ready in two months, with a date set for sentencing after being provided to the judge.
According to court records, Krushelnicki is also due to appear in Penticton Provincial Court in November for trial on charges of assault and mischief under $5,000, which also allegedly took place in Keremeos in 2024.
