2 children rushed to hospital in Kelowna following incident with SUV

Two children have been taken to Kelowna General Hospital after being struck by an SUV on Arbor View Drive just before 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24.
According to RCMP, one person has been taken into custody as part of the investigation, but alcohol is not considered to be a factor in the incident.
“Upon arrival, frontline officers determined that two children had been struck by an SUV. BC Emergency Health Services attended the scene and transported both children to hospital for assessment and treatment,” said media relations officer Cpl. Steven Lang.
The extent of the injuries to the children is not known at this time, and motorists are asked to avoid the area of Arbor View and Marin Court while the investigation continues to unfold.
The area is closed to vehicle traffic at this time.
