Langley’s Kristina Ward disappeared nine years ago

Friday, Sept. 25 is the ninth anniversary of the disappearance of Kristina Ward and her family is still working to find out what happened to the young woman.
The Langley woman was reported missing on Sept. 25, 2017, but then she was seen on surveillance video at 144 Street and 104 Avenue in Surrey on Sept. 27, 2017. There’s been nothing since.
“Kristina matters. We, the family, need closure and to bring our daughter home,” said Art Ward, Kristina’s father. “Hope will always remain, but the silence is the unspoken pain we live with every day.”
On Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, Kristina’s parents, family and friends will walk up 104th Avenue from 144 Street to 140 Street to keep her memory alive and generate information. Langley RCMP will join Kristina’s parents as they walk where Kristina was last seen on video surveillance. This walk is open to anyone who wishes to join and show support for Kristina’s family.
“We continue to search for Kristina and encourage anyone who has information about her to reach out to Langley RCMP or Crime Stoppers,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom, media relations officer, Langley RCMP. “Even the smallest piece of information could be helpful to investigators.”
