Bashaw firefighter, son, pass away in vehicle collision

The Bashaw Volunteer Firefighters department is mourning one of their own after a motor vehicle collision claimed the lives of a firefighter as well as his son, on Sept. 15.
“With a heavy heart we send our thoughts and prayers out to the Newman family on the tragic motor vehicle accident yesterday that took Dayce and his son from their loving family,” the department posted on Sept. 16.
“Dayce will be truly missed by his fellow teammates at the department and we send our heartfelt condolences to all that knew him.”
