Booze and pepperoni pilfered in separate incidents: Salmon Arm RCMP

Police are seeking charges against a woman for stolen pepperoni, and a man for swiping cases of liquor in a smash and grab.
At 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 12, a witness reported seeing a man smash a window of a liquor store along Hwy. 1, steal two cases and walk away.
The witness followed the suspect and was able to point him out in a nearby field when police arrived.
“The man was arrested and transported to cells,” said Salmon Arm RCMP media relations officer Const. Andrew Hodges in a news release, adding two cases of Twisted Teas were recovered from the suspect.
At 4:40 p.m. on Aug. 24, Salmon Arm RCMP received a report about a woman who had allegedly stolen pepperoni from a Hudson Avenue business. Hodges said the complainant had a photo of the suspect and video of the theft, “adding the woman had stolen multiple times from the store previously and was now wanting charges.”
Police located the woman near the hospital and arrested her for theft.
“While searching for ID on the female, police recovered the stolen pepperoni,” noted Hodges.
Both the man and the woman were released with future court dates and charges forwarded to BC Prosecution for assessment.
