Chipotle Mexican Grill nears opening day in Kelowna

Kelowna’s first Chipotle Mexican Grill is set to open at the end of September.
The restaurant chain is expanding to the Interior of B.C. for the first time with its new restaurant at 150-1950 Harvey Ave., officially opening its doors to customers on Wednesday, Sept. 30.
“Opening in Kelowna, the cultural hub of the Okanagan Valley, brings Chipotle closer to residents, students and visitors across the region,” said managing director Anat Davidzon.
“Our first restaurant in the Interior will introduce guests to what sets Chipotle apart: fresh, customizable meals made with real ingredients, prepared every day without artificial colours, flavours or preservatives.”
According to Chipotle, the first 100 guests who purchase an entree will receive a complimentary Chipotle-branded speaker.
Kelowna’s newest restaurant will be Chipotle’s 24th location in B.C. and is expected to create approximately 30 local jobs.
While staffing the new restaurant, Chipotle says it offers competitive benefits for employees, including tuition reimbursement, retirement savings matching, access to mental health care for employees and a $200 referral bonus for employees who refer a crew member and a $750 referral bonus for the referral of an apprentice or general manager.
This location will be open daily from 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.
