Langley Rams are bound for the Cullen Cup.

Rams backup quarterback Chayse Thurston led Langley to a 27-16 win over the visiting VI Raiders on Saturday afternoon at McLeod Athletic Park.

Langley was leading 12-0 at the end of the first quarter, 14-3 at the end of the second, 27-3 at the end of the third and held on against 13 late-in-the game points posted by the Raiders.

Thurston, filling in for injured starting quarterback Daryl Overstreet Jr., completed 17 passes for 209 yards.

Defensively, the Raiders held the Rams running attack to 91 yards.

Rams will host the other semifinal winners, the Westshore Rebels, in the Cullen Cup championship game on Saturday, Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. in McLeod to decide who will host the Canadian Bowl on Nov. 8.

Rebels are the only team to have beaten the rebuilt Rams this season, who have the best record in the British Columbia Football Conference (BCFC).

Last year, a floundering Rams team finished the 2025 Canadian Junior Football League (CJFL) regular season with a record of two wins, seven losses, and one tie (2-7-1).

They finished in 6th place in the BCFC standings, missing the postseason.

That led to an overhaul of the Langley team this year, with a new coach, Kye Todhunter, and new quarterback, Overstreet Jr.
